The Audiobook Revolution Reimagined
As a child, my grandfather used to buy me records from the Atlas Theatre Company, known for adapting stories and novels especially for young listeners. Each vinyl LP came with a simple, easy-to-read storybook that helped bring the stories to life. That series opened the door to timeless classics — and ignited my lifelong passion for audiobooks.
We fuse audio and text to create bold, independent audiobooks that break the rules.

Simon Moorhead
FOUNDER & AWARD-WINNING PRODUCER
Simon Moorhead is an award-winning producer with a career spanning four decades across film, television and audio drama. He began at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre before moving into television, working on celebrated BBC and ITV dramas including A Different Drummer, Jigsaw, Threads, The Life and Loves of a She Devil and Chimera.
As long-time producer to writer-director Dave McKean, Simon produced the feature film Mirrormask (Sony Pictures/Jim Henson Company), which premiered at Sundance in 2005 and went on to win nine festival awards. He later produced McKean's Luna, named Best British Feature Film at Raindance 2014, alongside short films, commercials and music videos for clients including the BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic and Virgin Records.
Since 2014, Simon has turned his focus to audio drama and theatre, producing and sound-designing The Boleyn Brothers, winner of Best Audio Drama Podcast at the International Radio Awards in New York, and The Other Side of the World for BBC Radio 4 Extra, starring Jon Culshaw as Alan Whicker.
Simon is the founder of Snackbytes, a Norfolk-based production company creating and distributing original full-cast audio drama, championing under-represented writers and actors for a global audience.

SNACKBYTE AUDIOBOOKS
An incubator for emerging talent, providing high-quality audio drama.
Before relocating from Brighton to Norfolk, Simon ran The Other 1%, an award-winning audio drama podcast supporting local creatives across the South Coast. Between 2017 and 2023, where he produced over 40 hours of original audio drama. After moving to North Norfolk in 2024, he brought the podcast to a close and archived its library.
Drawing on that experience, Simon set up Snackbytes, as a production and distribution platform for creating broadcast-quality drama and professional opportunities for local talent across the region. Ultimately, the project aims to give new writers and local performers the chance to gain meaningful professional credits.
