Boleyn Brothers
The Boleyn Brothers is a full-cast audio drama that brings to life the story of the “West Ham” Pals Battalion during the First World War. Originally released in four parts, the final episode aired on 11 November 2018, marking the centenary of the war’s end.

The drama follows four young men from the borough of West Ham who enlist in search of adventure, convinced the conflict will be short-lived—“It will all be over by Christmas.” Instead, they find themselves thrust into some of the most brutal and devastating battles of the war.

Writer Jonathan Williamson based the narrative on the Battalion’s War Diary. While the central characters are fictional, the timeline and many supporting roles are drawn from real events and individuals recorded in the diary.
